The third Australian Forum for Operational Oceanography (FOO 2019) will be held at the Pullman Albert Park in Melbourne on 15-16 October.

NSW Government currently have two roles available to join their progressive remote sensing team responsible for delivering state-wide vegetation monitoring programs and providing a range of satellite imagery products to support environmental management.

The Remote Sensing Centre @ Land Surface Sciences; Science Delivery and Knowledge; Science and Technology; Dutton Park, Brisbane; are seeking a Principal Scientist (PO5).
The purpose of the role is to provide leadership, scientific and technical direction to a team of remote sensing scientists who assess, map and monitor landscape attributes and provide scientific support for compliance activities. The successful candidate will lead scientific research, development and operational programs to support Queensland Government compliance and monitoring activities, including investigations and legal proceedings. Applicants should have a high level of skills and demonstrated ability to lead people, projects and programs which acquire, analyse, and integrate remote sensing and digital spatial data, for operational and public good outcomes.
