Queensland Space Industry Strategy
/Queensland has just released its Queensland Space Industry Strategy 2020-2025 which includes an $8 million commitment to recommendations identified in last year’s Queensland Parliament enquiry into the space industry.
Earth Observation plays a key role in the strategy as one of the essential components of the “Space Enabled Services” Key Strength and the second main in action “ Action area 2: Growing Queensland’s industry - a leading centre in Australasia for launch activities, ground systems, Earth observation .”
EOA community members and Directors made a number of submissions to this enquiry and have worked closely with the state government in helping to develop these actions; we would like to take this opportunity to thank our members for doing this and helping us to obtain significant government support to grow our industry!
This will also help with establishing our premier national and international Earth Observation Forum in September this year – please make sure you register and submit abstracts and workshop proposals as soon as you can!
