Queensland Department of Environment and Science
The Queensland Department of Environment and Science is seeking multiple skilled scientists with expertise in remote sensing science, vegetation and landscape ecology, scientific computing and data science. This team of scientists will be based in Brisbane at either at the Queensland Remote Sensing Centre, Ecosciences Precinct in Dutton Park, or at the Queensland Herbarium, Toowong.
You will be joining an established and respected team of scientists responsible for the continued maintenance and improvement of the mapping, monitoring and description of Queensland’s vegetation as part of a wider program of work that incorporates Regional Ecosystems, the Statewide Landcover and Trees Study and BioCondition.
There are 10 positions available, including:
- Science Leader (1 position);
- Principal Scientist (1 position);
- Senior Scientists (3 positions);
- Senior Botanist (1 position); and,
- Scientists (4 positions over two professional levels).
