We have several working groups addressing the 10 year plan for EO, and we will hear from them along with key industry, national and international updates during this webinar.

Our first Earth Observation Australia whole of community meeting since commencing the implementation of the Australian Earth Observation Community Plan 2026!
There has also been several recent announcements on very large scale national funding and program commitments to building Australia’s EO capacity across government, industry and research. EOA has played a major role in enabling these to happen....

At the time of writing this Australia now has at least one policy for a “Science and Industry Agency & Space Industry Program” from one our political parties. In its justification and associated media support, it is entirely EO based, then as usual, this is nowhere to be seen as a building block or focus in the policy. This meeting reviewed the status of Australia’s nascent Space Capability Industry policies, providing a critical assessment and indication of why EO is the justification for this policy, but is not built by it. We highlighted the potential paths for moving our community’s agenda and activities forward in this context so that EO is a pillar or building and delivering the capability of Australia’s future Space Industry.

This was our first whole of community meeting for 2018! This meeting explained and enabled community discussion of EOA’s activities and several critical national and international EO activities that will affect government, defence, private industry, research and education sectors.
